On Friday 13th (unlucky for some!) after enjoying a good few hours togging at Penarth Pier I decided to go to Cosmeston Lakes for what I hoped was going to be a nice sunset. Well, I wasn't disappointed!! As the sun went down the views across the lake were absolutely breathtaking and I even spotted a Whooper swan, a rare sighting in these parts! Here are a few images to show you just how 'lucky' I was.

The building is chiefly known as a romantic folly supposedly....to read more and see my pics, go to my website and click on 'What's New'. Christmas and new year was spent with family this year in the south of England. The weather wasn't particularly brilliant but a nice sunset was promised one evening so I legged it down to the beach with my camera (just a few minutes walk away) to try and catch a sunset.
